Well, here we are 22 weeks into 2020. With the new month on Monday, I started some new resolutions for June.
I’ve set my step goal for 8000-10,000 a day this month. I decided to dial it back just a bit on the steps for now. 8000 is still a lot of steps per day and I am happy with that.
I know as things get closer to being back to normal, it’s going to be harder to meet some of these goals. For example, I missed out on my fruit goal on Saturday evening this past week when I went to my nephew’s wedding. I packed the fruit, but then forgot to eat it when I got back to the hotel room. I am just going to take this as a lesson to be extra diligent about checking my list in the evening before bed so I don’t miss stuff like that. I have a reminder set on my phone for each evening, but it went off while we were still at the wedding and then I forgot. At any rate, I’m miles from where I was at the first of the year so I’m just going to focus on the positive steps I’ve made and not get down on myself for missing out. “What you do most of the time matters more than what you do some of the time”-Gretchen Rubin. I’m going to work on a plan to make sure I have fruits and veggies with me when I travel out of town so I can still meet my goals.
