It took me over a year, but I finally got ready to sell Tom’s music stuff. Back when the kids came in May, they picked out what they wanted and I kept the bass that Tom wanted me to have, there was still a lot of stuff and I mean A LOT!!! Any time that Tom got extra money, he put it towards his music passion. Anyway, I loaded it all up yesterday and took it to the music store in Enid and he bought it. I had a friend meet me there because I knew it was going to be emotional for me and I just needed that extra support. I want to get something special with the money to honor and remember Tom. I’ve always wanted a charm bracelet that I could add charms to, and I am leaning towards that. If I do choose that, I will put a bass guitar on there in honor of Tom. I think he would have liked that I used the money for something special for myself.
My passion is to share the importance of playing, and not just as a child, but as an adult also. It is so important to take the time to play and be active. Our children are losing that.
