The Happiness Paradox

One of the things that Gretchen Rubin talks about is how things that make us happier don’t always make us feel happy. I was thinking about this on my walk this morning. I don’t particularly like getting up early and walking but I feel happier throughout the day from doing it. Creating new classes isn’t exactly my favorite thing, but teaching the classes makes me very happy. Another example is cleaning my house-I don’t feel that happy doing it, but I feel happier looking around and having things look nice. What are some things you do that make you happier but you don’t always feel happy when you’re doing it?

My passion is to share the importance of playing, and not just as a child, but as an adult also. It is so important to take the time to play and be active. Our children are losing that.
