Today I want to share a poem I wrote. Three years ago today we learned that Tom had a tumor in his esophagus.

Cancer is a monster
by Tracy Hinton

Cancer is a monster,
It tears your world apart.
Cancer is a monster,
It always breaks your heart.
Cancer is a thief,
It steals away your life.
Cancer is so cruel,
It cuts you like a knife.
Cancer is the monster,
That fills your heart with dread.
Cancer is the monster,
That sleeps under your bed.
Cancer is the robber,
That steals away your peace.
Cancer tears your world apart,
Cancer is a beast.

My passion is to share the importance of playing, and not just as a child, but as an adult also. It is so important to take the time to play and be active. Our children are losing that.
