Power Hour

I got the idea of implementing a "Power Hour" from listening to the Happier with Gretchen Rubin podcast.

This is where you make a list of those little nagging tasks that can be done anytime (but often don't get done at all) and then you choose an hour each week to tackle them.

For example, I had a light burned out in my ceiling fan for quite a while, but just never got around to changing it. Bam-Power Hour! I changed it Friday! I kept thinking that I needed to use the attachments to do some detailed vacuuming around the edges of the living room. Did it Friday.

What kind of things would you put in a Power Hour? Note: these should not be things with a deadline. These should be those little nagging tasks that don't really have a timeline, so we put them off.

My passion is to share the importance of playing, and not just as a child, but as an adult also. It is so important to take the time to play and be active. Our children are losing that.
