I used to subscribe to Flylady's e-mails. If you aren't familiar with her, she's basically an organizing guru who has helped tons of people get their lives together. I got overwhelmed at the amount of e-mails and eventually unsubscribed. But one thing I did take from her is "You can do anything for 15 minutes at a time". I have used this so many times! When I am facing an overwhelming task, I often tell myself "You only have to work on it for 15 minutes, then you can do something else". Then at the end of the 15 minutes, if I'm making progress, I might work on it a little bit longer. If I'm not making progress, I get up and go do something else and come back to it later. This is how I"m working on my receipts/tax stuff-15 minutes at a time. That is currently my daily de-cluttering goal is to go through and get all that paperwork sorted out and ready to do taxes.

AuthorMy passion is to share the importance of playing, and not just as a child, but as an adult also. It is so important to take the time to play and be active. Our children are losing that. CategoriesArchives
